Great concept of a romance between normal people. I actually love Marianne and Connor, they’re so realistic. However the writing style was what brings the review to only three stars. It was awful and the plot was so slow moving that I think this book would have been much more enjoyable 100 pages shorter as a novella or part of a short story collection. I didn’t particularly mind the fact there were no speech marks tbh, you get used to that pretty quick, it was just the pace of the writing and structure of the story that made the book feel as if it had been written by a 12 year old at times.
