It kills me (pun intended) that I can’t give this book 5 stars. The writing style was perfectly macabre and humorous; it also gave an air of old timey-ness without feeling boring. Despite having no need for a murder in my life, McMasters was described so thoroughly that I would love to attend and take some of their classes! I liked reading about the three main characters and appreciated the level of detail that went into preparing for their murders. However, the detailed descriptions tiptoed the line of almost tedious. So I would give this book 4-4.5 stars - a fun must-read for fans of the macabre and fictional crime.
Spoiler
I also didn’t like how there was such a sudden, anticlimactic resolution to Hellkampf and an equally disappointing non-resolution for Adele.Graphic: Murder
