Love the art style
Love how the story went to such unexpected places

Would have been 5 stars if it hadn't been the awful epilogue and its orientalism

Well that was a rather dark read.
Very few characters are fully likeable. The rest bully, murder, assault and rape and often use what little power they have to hurt those that get in the way of their gain.
The sweet bubbly art reminds me of kid- friendly fairy tales and the content in a way refers to their not so lighthearted origins.
Be very careful with fairies.

This was pretty good. And terrifying, and brutal, and with a surprisingly high body count. I preferred Beautiful Darkness by Kerascoet, but I'll definitely try out more of this artist's books.
The style, while very simple, almost childish in a way, totally works for the dark subject matter. I can't put my finger on it but I really, really like this kind of stuff.
