This book was marginally better than the previous book, however it certainly cannot be read as a stand alone. The underlying plot carries on from book one where more secrets around the De Vincents are revealed and we also get more questions. This leads me to REALLY want to read Devlin's book!

Gabe and Nikki were friendly when they were younger. Nikki is the daughter of Livi and Richard and had a massive crush on Gabe that was noticed by everyone. No back to help out the De Vincents while her mother is ill, Gabe takes much more notice of the woman that she has become.

Gave does act a bit entitled in this book, but all the De Vincents do, however he does genuinely seem to have a soft spot for Nikki and has to apologise for his behaviour, Nikki falls back into old habits, but does seem to have the more adult thinking at times.

Glad that Gabe managed to step up to the mark and that she has such a good friend in Rosie.

Me gustó la trama, pero siento que en un momento se quedó estancada, me hubiera gustado que abarcará más en la relación con William y qué pasó con Sabrina, pero supongo que eso saldrá en el libro de Dev.

I loved this story! I love a good second chance story and that mixed with the suspense and the chemistry between these characters definitely sucked me in and did not let up. I loved the first book as well, but I think I enjoyed this one even more. I really loved the writing style and the slow progression of the character's relationship in this book. I can't wait to read more!

so many unnecessary things in this book starting from the 10 years age gap that does nothing but make it weird when he’s known her as a child. let’s not talk about her seducing him when she was barely 18 and he was drunk. like ??? why would you writr that as a starting point to your book

Somehow this book made it into my to read list without realizing it was one of the books you find your older aunts reading, which really isn't a genre I'm a fan of.

Being from a country famous for its ridiculous soap operas, from page 2 I knew what I was going to get: a rich man falling head over heels in love with the woman working at his house and the drama surrounding that and (apparently) all rich families. It was all I expected, nothing less and nothing more.
