Amazing! Absolutely amazing!

Love it so much! It really motivate me! I recommend this book to EVERYONE! EVERYONE SHOULD READ IT!

The ideas it talks about aren’t mind blowing- but the writing style make it so motivational. It make you feel like you need to get up and do something, to become a bada**.

And don’t get me started on the writing style. Omg it make me laugh so many times. Well I did listen to this on audiobook. And the tone is really clear. But it make me laugh so much. Truly no other book had made me giggle lot loud before.

100% RECOMMEND. LOVE IT!

*listen to it as an audiobook*

When I first saw this book avaible from my library I said "Isn't that the lady that wrote Don't sleep with your drummer?" It is. This self help lady wrote one of my favorite MTV books.
I find a lot of this scary. Get off your ass and do what you want! Things will fall into place. Stop making excuses! You'll figure it out. (or not)
I also do not agree with the we don't like in others what we see in ourselves. There are people I dislike because they are loud. I am not loud. I do not fear that I'm loud. I just know it's annoying to me and I won't change my mind on that.
After having her yell at me for 5 hours I am more motiviated but without the skills to accomplish it.
So go write that book that we all want to write because being scared it sucks is far worse than doing it and it does suck!

Hmmm

It's hard for me to put into words how I feel about this book. I could have just as easily given it four stars until the very end when the author insists that you shell out money to a life coach. Yes we

I'm all about positivity and self-help and improving your life and yourself but this didn't really have the effect on me that I was hoping for. Author doesn't consider all the other factors that stops most people from living "an awesome life". I mean I get it, a lot of self-help books are this way but this was just on another level. Claims were made over and over that all you have to do is want it bad enough and manifest it and that if it doesn't happen, you didn't want it bad enough... Umm?

My new bible. This is self help for my generation -- she speaks in a casual, conversational way that your bestie would, but with the experience of someone who has not only gone through all the motions of self help herself, but who now makes a living by teaching it to others. It's the kindest, most loving bitch-slap into reality I've found in book form, and translated beautifully for me into my real-life practices and thoughts. I highly recommend it.

For those who over think and doubt themselves. Not me. I just did the research for you. I'm a badass.

Let me start by saying: The advice in this book is familiar. If you've watched The Secret and have a deck of Louise Hay affirmation cards, then you've heard much of this before.

Like most self-help books, it doesn't delve into the barriers that exist to having, being and doing whatever you want (systemic racism, mental illness, etc). There's an image circulating around Instagram that says: "Maybe you manifested it. Maybe it's white privilege," and that sums up a lot of my feelings on this genre. Including (and especially) this book. To assume that everyone can create the life of their dreams by buying an Audi on a whim... that's privilege.

With all that said:
About 1/3 of the way into this book, I got fired UP about something I really wanted to do. Wheels were turning. Ideas were flowing. I was highlighting and scribbling in the margins. By the end of the book I had a full-blown plan for what I want most in my life, and that sense of inspiration and joyful anticipation of what my life will become...it's pretty cool! And it's been a while since I read a book that got me in the zone as this one did.
