I was waiting for a couple that was on the same wavelength and we finally got it! I was getting tired of this whole ā€˜opposites attractā€™ stuff so Iā€™m glad we get a couple that have more in common than not.

I think Camille was great. Very solid character. If Iā€™m being honest, I thought the first half of the book was really boring. There wasnā€™t much happening. It was kind of pitiful to be honest since we were just getting Camilleā€™s background and how she was bullied for her mum (a woman she barely knew) being a stripper, her dad falling ill with cancer, her brother getting caught with drugs etc. Reading about Schultz made me feel physically ill the way he blackmailed her into being an informant. At one point I thought it was a set up since he didnā€™t even mark in her file that he caught ā€˜herā€™ with drugs.

Things really picked up in the second half. I think this was the best plot so far; with the drug selling informant side as one sub plot, finding out Raymond was Vicā€™s dad as another sub plot, and the heist itself. I think the romance was a bit dry but to be honest Iā€™m glad it was very cut and dry since the previous books had a lot of uncertainty around their feelings.

We see Sebastian yet again! I really really want to see a book from his perspective because we got a glimpse of how the incident changed him but I want more. And the glimpse of Dante and Simoneā€™s first meet- very cute. I already know Iā€™m going to like them. It makes a lot of sense that Danteā€™s would be a second chance romance since I donā€™t really see him opening up to somebody new, knowing him.

Overall, v cute couple. I loved their openness and honesty and how well they got each other to be honest. I think I prefer that understanding over differences.
