I did not know about this novella until I was almost done reading book four. Looking back I vaguely remembered Harlequin doing a serial-type thing with this series. That would explain the publication dates. It was released as a serial (I can’t remember if it was monthly or weekly) between Best Laid Plans and The Lights on Knockbridge Lane.

This is a super short read that still packs in all of the emotions and chemistry I’ve come to expect from Roan Parrish. The way Henry and Cameron meet is adorable. I love that shy Henry goes outside of his comfort zone with Cameron, and once he does he realizes that Cameron is a safe space that doesn’t make him uncomfortable at all. It’s very sweet.

I’ve probably said it before, but I adore this town. This book spotlights the unknown residents of Garnet Run in many ways and it made me love them all the more.

This was cute! It was fun seeing previous characters in the series and I loved that the plot of this novella revolved around the restoration of the old movie theater in Garnet Run. The romance was cute too!

Surprisingly full of typos. Needed a basic proofreading.

This was a super sweet, no heat novella on Harlequin's website with cameos from the Matheson brothers and their partners, Simon and Rye.

This is a short story that takes place in the Garnet Run town in Wyoming. For only being 8 chapters, it didn't feel that short as it has all the elements from Parrish's other books without the explicit scenes. I almost prefer this style to the full length books because it isn't full of a lot of fluff, just the basic elements of a romanctic story. I didn't like the instant attraction in this one because neither character is really described well enough to get a full picture of what they look like, just that the older Henry dresses a bit like a hipster theatre kid (on brand) except he's in his mid-30s so it's a bit much. Overall, it's a cute story and the couple is fine. I don't think a longer narrative would have helped make them any more compatible.
Note: It has little to do with the other books so can be read alone.
