This is the second book I've read by Oksanen and I just don't think her literary universe is for me... I dislike the cold, grittiness of her characters and the themes she covers, unfortunately don't interest me. However, the themes of this book are very important and I can understand it's success, regardless of the fact that I didn't enjoy it.

But hey, it's okay! Every book and can't be for everyone and I think it's time for my journey with Oksanen's writing to come to an end.
