Це майстерно написаний детектив, але мені було переважно огидно його читати, і я постійно запитувала себе «щоб шо?». Головний злодій викликав євгенічні думки і нагадав ідею про те, що для того, щоб заводити (і тварин, і голосувати), люди мають пройти іспит на IQ, але звідси недалеко і до тоталітарного терору. Не знаю, де золота середина тут.
