So, so real. I adored the humanness Jamaica Kincaid allowed us to see 🥹
Obviously sad, but definitely a must read. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars, thank you ✨

I love the way she writes like she’s talking to us. Her use of parentheses can be excessive and confusing, but it creates the perfect tone. The way she spoke about family was so real and relatable to my situation. It’s a comfort to know someone else feels these things because if I said them out loud, those around me would call me “cold” or “harsh”.
