This is Book 5 in the Broken Kingdoms series, and it would have to be one of my favourites. The author has really found an enjoyable pace and writing style that keeps you engaged here. Kase, Mal, and the rest of the cast are diverse when it comes to race, looks, disabilities and beliefs. With each character having individual well-rounded personalities, the author makes it easy to imagine them and their environment. This book has a lot of humour, excitement, and joy that balances the serious subjects well. It is a story that felt fresh, and I really liked the Oceans 11 heist vibes. With all the Kingdoms and plots starting to come together, I am so excited to read about all my favourite characters again.
