Shroom for me: Kingdom of Trupan by Bekah D Killer is the first book/novella I’ve read by this author. What a read to start with! This was really well done; everything was fully developed and fleshed out… the characters were a treat to read. This whole experience was amazing! I absolutely loved that FMC was sassy and knew what she wants. The MMC was just as fantastic with not giving up to get her. It really was a treat reading their story plus who doesn’t love a good spicy fated mates story… I was addicted!!! Plus the ending, I loved it! If you want a really well done story, look no further. Highly recommended.

I had so much fun reading this! It had me cackling like an idiot. The story is short, fast-paced, light-hearted, and funny as hell. A perfect palate cleanser between heavy books.

There is not a lot of world building, but you get enough to create an image of their world.
Bea is a firecracker of a character, and I loved her self-assured and sassy personality. Her sailor mouth just made every better.
The shroom concept and wordings were really cute. 🍄

For such a short book, it has a decent amount of spice, with some kinks being portrayed. The spicy scenes were perfectly filthy with Vic and his "double trouble." 🥵

I highly recommend 🔥

Let me preface by saying that this is a fun and interesting read. Shrooms are everything in this world; think everyday things and you’d most definitely get the shroomed version somewhere.

The story is fast-paced and funny yet also smutty at the right times. I had mixed feelings about Bea but in the end she was just a woman in STEM who wanted nothing more than to keep experimenting and creating potions and suspicious fae dusts for her people. Victor gave off puppy vibes without coming off as desperate which I found endearing and lowkey perfect for Bea.

Overall this was the perfect palate cleanser and it also has potential for more of the shroom world to expand either by Victor and Bea’s story or the side couples. I personally am not opposed if this turns into a series.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review and it in no way affected my thoughts and opinions on this.
