After the initial frisson of seeing Ace again and then briefly reuniting her with the 13th Doctor, this devolves into a fairly standard runaround. The last third is rather weak and forgettable and left me ready to move onto something else well before it was over.

Runs out of steam...

The prospect of Ace meeting a lighter, friendlier version of her Doctor and trying to correlate that with the man she left behind is an intriguing one. Sadly, after a strong start, the story doesn't explore this outside of an awkward conversation in a car of all places...

That said, the characterisation of the main cast is spot on.
