Nice story about a family who owns a vineyard in Sonoma that is about to be sold. Trials and tribulations of the three adult kids and their romantic lives AND the parents who are dealing with changes in their own relationship. Besides the romantic stories there is a lot of discussion about how to make good wine.

There are some things that annoyed me greatly (like the unnecessary alrea be of a movie star) but overall I found this a pleasant diversion. It would not shock me if there is another book to come about these characters.

Another main character that I just wasn't crazy about. Georgia was annoying she never let Ben explain himself but then she was mad that he didn't tell her everything. Now Ben's lies were huge and I understand why she was upset but she never talked to him just waffled back and forth on if she was going to go ahead with the wedding based on what other people told her they thought. As far as Jacob that was so predictable and every interaction between him and Georgia seemed contrived. It was an okay story, I enjoy fluffy books but you're not missing out on anything if you don't read this one.

A little predictable, but still an enjoyable commute listen.

A fun little read. I found the main character to be overly angry for the first 3/4 of the book. I would have liked to see some of the relationships more developed.

This book honestly was awful. The characters were all horribly selfish, and cared only for themselves. Even the parents were that way, and I think the point of this book was too show that we're all human. That in and of itself is a fine goal, but the execution fell entirely flat for me. Her parents hid their issues from her, and then when Georgia discovers them on what is already a horrible day, her mother acts like Georgia is just horribly judgmental, and doesn't even bother to find out what's going on with her daughter. All of the people in this story just very very selfish, it's not a crime it's just they are so selfish it seems unreal. 2 out of 5 stars.

I would more accurately rate this a 3.5. I wasn't sure if I would like this book (I don't like wine and I don't usually like chic-lit). However, I enjoyed it.

I actually found myself identifying with Georgia and her situation which made the book more thought provoking (leaving a farm for grad school, having siblings that are uncertain if they want to take on the farm, but still harboring a love for the farm and not wanting it to be lost to corporate hands). I found myself rereading lines of the book and thinking about their greater meaning, even thinking about them hours later.

In the moment I saw him lying in the vineyard, I realized it wasn't the vineyard I feared losing. It was him. As long as he was working the land, I got to imagine it. That the day without him would never come.

I thought she also provided good insight into the complexity of family and relationships. I found myself being disgusted with characters only for the author to slowly change my opinion of them as their histories were unfolded. I am glad that I reluctantly picked up this book.

The main character Georgia was insufferable. She meddled and judged everyone in her family for making decisions differently than what she wanted. She was a privileged, self-centered brat. The way the mom and dad storyline ended was abrupt and odd. The late 3rd act “love” interest for Georgia was equally abrupt and odd. Just hated this all around. I kept thinking it would get better, but instead, it just steadily got worse.
