Leigh Bardugo has done it again. I love the little bits of the stories that feel as if they are in places I know, having been to several places in northern Europe. I can't wait to see what Kaz and his crew get up to next!

Finally finished this book after so much procrastinating, and honestly I can't wait to read Crooked Kingdom! This was so good!

The characters, the backstories, the relationships, the visuals, everything was so well done. The only small small tinyyyy complaint that I had was the beginning confused the hell out of me. Had no idea what was going on until the going got good.

Otherwise, I'll probably read this again in the future.

wow. i am just in awe of leigh bardugo. i wish i could give this a 4 million stars.
the tears i shed? the heart-stopping moments? the laughs? i wish i could erase this book from my memory, just so i could read it for the first time again.
i am in love with the complexity of every character and questioning everyone’s morality. it’s so new to me and i love it dearly (and hate it terribly).
so excited for more.

Whoa! Bardugo is amazing with character and setting development. It took me a bit to get into the book because of all of the characters, but when I did, I was hooked! Can't wait to discuss this at my book club and to read next book in this duology.

Here are some truly compelling characters!

My only complaint: No actual crows.

The big idea is maybe like Gangs of New York. Mobs have bosses and territories and feuds. They smuggle drugs and humans from port to port; they manage flophouses and casinos.

Our protagonist gang, the Dregs, are the underdogs. Their core team is composed of teenagers. Tough as nails, etc.

The team's mission is to stop the syndication of a new powerful drug. It kills people and could obliterate nations. Can this ragtag bunch of murderers access the enemy's fortress and destroy the formula??? Or will they be taken down by their own infighting, unwanted romance, and perhaps maybe thousands of trained soldiers?!

Find out here in this darkly comedic duology. On to the next one.

Toujours aussi bon et toujours un de mes livres prefs. Genre sérieux si vous l'aimez pas je comprends pas. Les persos sont géniaux, l'action est insane pis les backstories/relations sont trop intéressantes! ❤️
