A really good contemporary romance. Jennifer E. Smith really owns this genre, loved it! Review coming soon.

Cute. In a very disney-ish way.

This book was a feel good read. I mean, sure, I shed some tears and was angry in some parts, but for the most part it just gave me hope and happiness.
Wow, that sounded really lame. Hah. Well, Hadley, the main character, is a smartly written teenage girl who I think everyone can relate to at different points. She is trying to come to terms with her father marrying a new woman and intense fear of flying when a cute boy comes into her life named Oliver. He is a British boy any American girl would be proud to take on her arm. Their story overlaps in some strange ways and leads to some amusing, and some less than amusing encounters.

3.5 stars. Somehow this is the third novel I've read by Jennifer E. Smith -- they just seem to fall into my lap -- but I like this one the best. It's fluff, of course, and the conventional gender stereotypes bother me, especially as regards the wedding (Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Sullivan? That will never not bother me). But much of the novel was quite beautifully written, and I had an emotional connection to Hadley, which I wasn't expecting.

This book made me feel all the feels. Loved both main characters so much. It was a super quick read. I’m excited to watch the movie adaptation that just came out on Netflix!!

EDIT: THE MOVIE HAD ME SOBBING. SO SO CUTE. they did make some changes from the book to movie but it honestly made it more entertaining and flowed really well. I loved all the small details that were included from the book.
