Belle joins Summer, one of her lifelong best friends, on a girls' trip on Summer's rich boyfriend's yacht on a trip through the Mediterranean. Wining, dining, and shopping among the ultra-rich, Belle quickly realizes the trip's not all she imagined it to be. The book alternates between the present day trip and Belle's past with Summer, as we watch their friendship grow more complicated. Is Belle a guest on the yacht or a prisoner?

i loved all the twists and turns lol. and seeing summer and john’s downfall was so satisfying, they really got what they deserved.

although i would have liked to see more of a confrontation between belle and summer about amythest’s death. i feel like that would have been cool to see, belle finally getting to be vocal about how terrible a person and friend summer was to her. but summer getting jail time was pretty cool too lol.

i also loved seeing belles character growth after the events on the boat! i was honestly really surprised with how much i enjoyed reading this! i would definitely read again

Not gonna lie I was going to write this book off from the very beginning for being shallow chick lit...however, I stuck with it since it was recommended to me, and boy am I glad I did! The middle was a little slow but the ending made it worth it.

*Thank you to Grand Central Publishing and Amazon Vine for my review copy*

The book was very slow for me to get into but eventually it picked up. Then it got slow again and I ended up skimming the last couple chapters. The last few chapters ended strongly but it took a long time to get there. I really didn’t care for any of the characters at first but Belle grew on me especially when certain things were revealed. If you’re looking for a book to escape in then look no further.
