I'm undecided on if I really liked this book it not.
The story line is really good and I enjoyed it but I skipped loads and by loads I mean pages at a time. A lot of it was just nonsense describing. Descriptions that went on forever that didnt really need to be there. Sometimes a little goes a long way and the readers imagination will pick up what isnt there but the author litrally left nothing to the imagination.
I'm gonna try book 2 and if it's still the same then I'll likely give it a DNF and not bother with future books

I really enjoyed this book. It had a little bit of everything. You had a young boy with a sweet grandma, who grew into a MMA fighter that belonged to an MC. You had the cartel, a granola yoga girl, a best friend and tons of crazy moments and intrigue.

Definitely check your trigger warnings for this one before reading! This tackled some heavy topics. I loved Rage and Juliet so much. Their journey was really fun to read and I loved seeing how strong and resilient Juliet was.

I can't tell you enough good things about this book! As an MC romance, it's got it all...the club, the brotherhood, a little grittiness, the danger. As a dramatic romance, it's got it all...the suspense, the danger, the building connection between the main characters. I LOVED this book. Juliet is not your typical woe-is-me gal who needs saving from the big bad of the story. No, she's got spunk and independence, but still teeters on the edge of vulnerable. Rage is not your typical alpha. He's returning to his turf, his club, his ring, and just happens to spy someone who interests the hell out of him. The give and take between these two characters was very real. The supporting cast of characters had personalities that were well-developed. And I love that there is just enough of a teaser at the end to lead into more installments in the series. I still can't believe this is the author's first book because it's just so well-written and flows so well! I will definitely be looking forward to whatever Zara Teleg decides to give us in the future.

This is the first time I have read this author and it definitely won’t be my last.

Juliet is an amazing character full of strength and she was a character that part of you wanted to be like as she got herself stronger after what she went through and vowed to protect those she loved and did what she had to. I truly admired how she got back onto her feet and made herself strong. I loved her friendship with Ivy and how Ivy supported her and was always there for her.

I really liked Rage and gave him credit for leaving town due to things that had happened but he was more than ready to return home. I liked that he was instantly attracted to Juliet and protective over her and I thought it was awesome when she showed how more than capable she was of taking care of herself.

Rage knew that Juliet was the one for him but he had to wait for his turn due to her dating Richard Ramsay, a guy he hated and with good reason. Their interactions in the book were so good, especially at the Firecracker Fights, but then towards the end I was very pleasantly surprised!

My heart broke for what Juliet went through at the beginning of the book and you knew it wasn’t over yet and when we met another character in a dark alley I had a feeling things would fall into place. I was definitely freaking out towards the end and things got super tense.

I loved how it ended and was glad they were able to get peace with another character. There is still a loose end with the blueberry pie and I hope that comes out in another book!!

Can’t wait for the next one!

2020 re-read
I swear up and down with this book guys... I did speed read this and skim quite a bit. I did "recently" read it so a lot of it was still fresh on my mind, but I did need to reread so I could discuss it!

2019, original review
I am dead. This book. Was amazing. I don't even know where to start with this book or even what to say. This was amazing. So unique, held my attention from the get-go and I swooned sooo hard. Y'all need to pick this up!
