⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️ I struggled to get through this book. It wasn’t until 75% in that I started enjoying it.
* The beginning timeline was very choppy &jumped around quickly with short present &past chapters.
* I feel like the bipolar diagnosis was out of left field. She said looking back that her sleeping around in college, being depressed, pushing Ford away, moving to New York were all signs &I completely disagree. Those were all things that I wouldn’t have questioned as “normal.” She wasn’t manic or all over the place ever. I just feel it was thrown in for some drama.
* The narration was fantastic! These 2 never disappoint!
* I’ll probably read the next book to finish the series.
Themes:
* Divorce
* Friends to lovers
* Hockey romance
* Brother’s best friend
* Second chance romance

Every A. House book will make you feel like that one is your favorite. Holding is no different. This isn’t your typical sports romance book. This is about dealing with the ups and downs of a relationship and what happens when one person has a mental illness. Great read.
TW: mental illness, bipolar disorder, depression, death
