Really enjoyed this! super easy read and interesting plot to keep you hooked.

The Plot in itself is excellent, super interesting and keeps you captivated and wanting to come back for more!

The only reason it isn’t a 4/4.5 star book for me is the writing. The writing is very basic, a 10 year old could read it(for the most part) and whilst also keeping in mind it is Y/A so language and everything isn’t going to be too complex but i think it still could have been greatly improved.

The writing particularly became a problem for me with the characterisation of Pippa, I really wanted to like her and i can see how to some people she would be a very likeable character but she just annoyed me.

Overall a really easy fun read, just would’ve liked something written a tad better :)

The beginning is really good and the ending is really good. Other than that, the pacing in the middle was definitely off for me. It took me waaaay too long to finish this

I absolutely loved this book, I could not put it down. I needed to know what happened next. It was so well written that when you thought you’d figured it out at twist happened and you realised you hadn’t had a clue what really was going on. It was just so fun.

This book was a random read to get into the fall feels, and it did not disappoint.
The main characters were the perfect mix of serious and unserious in all the best ways, and even the secondary characters that make up the friends and family of Pippa were perfect. Ravi and Pippa are a perfect pairing, and I can't wait to see what mystery they'll solve next.
The story itself was a great crime/thriller while still holding onto that YA feeling. I spent the whole time trying to distinguish who to trust and who could have possibly done the crime we didn't even know was actually committed. I'm happy with the ending and found it to be realistic and not super outlandish and convoluted like a lot of murder/crime-centric media usually is.
And in the midst of reading, I found out it's getting made into a series, so I'll be on the lookout for that. Off to the next Pippa and Ravi adventure.

Crying score: ugh yes
Spoilera dog dies

P.S. read the TWs there are a lot, so it is important to be informed.

Spoiler no seriously why kill the dog?? I actually just wanted to stop afterwards, great story but the dogs death was unnecessary.
