I realize that these remind me of older Disney Channel episodes, a little bit like "So Weird." They're fun and quick reads with teenage characters that seem a little younger than they're written.

No real review, as most of what I wrote for the second book also applies here. Felt like reading some fluffy PNR and so I did. Romance, but not sex. MC comes across as whiney and most times unsure, not my type of heroine.

Three stars, barely, not really recommended, for younger readers and fans.

I am starting to have some issues with the main character and her wining. It's a bit too much. Especially since half of the time that is what she does.

Yes, we know it is a learning experience and we do not know everything yet. But jeez you do not have to be extra freaking dramatic all the damn time.

However the characters still had moments of wisdom.

Lastly, the kisses have become somewhat boring? It's always "soft" or "hard". Basically I am not invested in the love stories and I think the plotline can deal without it.

Trigger warning:
Suicide
Abuse
Depression
Tragic loss

Alicia sent me a arc for an honest review
Crystal has been getting better and better at using her powers and has almost mastered the little things. When a ghost shows up while trying on dresses for her mothers wedding, Crystal has to help her. The ghost (Melissa) asks Crystal to save a girl names Sage and she only has a month to do it in Crystal has also developed new powers to help her on her quests. There was some added twists in this story that were surprising to me. this has to be my favorite book in this series so far I cant wait to see what Alicia comes up with next

Inspired by Frost by Alicia Rades is book 3 in her Crystal Frost series. In this book Crystal is still adjusting to her abilities and getting the hang of them but she’s also getting ready for her mother’s upcoming wedding when she is visited by a ghost named Melissa. Melissa doesn’t hang around long but the warning that she gives Crystal is final and ominous…Crystal must help a girl named Sage Anderson or else she will die the next time that Crystal puts on her new bride’s maid dress. Soon after this message is delivered Crystal meets a girl named Sage. Crystal has some real uphill battles with this one because of how Sage is. She’s very withdrawn and doesn’t even have any social media, which in this day and age is almost unheard of. But Crystal is determined to help her and figure out what the threat to her is so that she doesn’t die.
It’s not an easy thing with Sage keeping so much of herself a secret but with some help from her friends Emma and Derek, Crystal is able to find out a few things about Sage. Emma continues to help Crystal work on her abilities so that she can strengthen them and so that maybe she can begin to channel others that will help her. Crystal definitely is developing more into a teenager in this book because when her mother tries to instruct and encourage her in ways concerning her gifts…telling her to open up more and to practice more Crystal gets offended behind it thinking that she is doing the best that she can but that the universe needs to do more when coming to her for help. Well, thankfully she takes it to heart and does open up more and it really pays off.
Sage’s story is a sad one. From losing her family – mom, dad, sister…to her uncle abusing her and being on the run and her being so fearful that he is out there stalking her that she is always hiding and being fearful. It is up to Crystal to figure out where the threat is to Sage and stop it before Sage loses her life and that is exactly what her sister Melissa is trying to prevent.
This is a really good book. I didn’t devour it like I did the first two in this series but I still really enjoyed it nonetheless. Crystal is really growing into her abilities and doing it rather rapidly but it doesn’t really feel rushed, it feels like she’s strong and that she’s coming into it like she needs to and because she really wants to. Her relationship with Robin is getting stronger as well and of course there are a couple surprises in store. All in all this is a really good book and I enjoyed it very much.

In this book the main character Chrystal annoyed the hell outta me. She was so annoying. Why? Well to me she came across as if she was so incredibly important and extremely insecure one moment and super confident the next that it was bugging me a lot.

Besides that SPOILER: who the fuck delays a wedding and let their daughter go off in the middle of it?

The mental health representation was mediocre at best!
