I listened to the 2nd book in this series back in March so there were a few little things I had forgotten, however that didn’t effect this book. I really enjoyed this book, this last in the series however the end seemed to be rushed, like Tessa was rushing to wrap it up. If you enjoyed the others you will enjoy this. This series is ok but really just filled with lackluster characters and very little world building. The plot at the beginning seemed promising but there was little explanation on the world beyond some bits and pieces about how powerful she is. There's constant ambushing of the fmc throughout the series and she's always blacking out after them for days at a time.

Honestly I just stopped reading it because it was the same thing over and over again and I was bored.

I can’t explain my dislike of this series except to say it felt inauthentic. To romantasy and most DEFINITELY to RH books. There was no actual intimacy. And though ilys were exchanged quite frequently, they were just words.

There was three books of (poorly done) lead up and a battle where the author cut the reader off at the knees. We, once again, didn’t see the actual battle. We just got a recap after Aura, once again 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄, blacked out. The amount of fainting, concussing, blacking out, and crying this girl did was astounding.
