Let's just start by saying, I want to hate this book. I do. It's beyond Toxic, but it's so addictive.

- They are just as toxic as each other, Hardin the obvious ways but Tess is somehow just as bad
- Jesus her mother is a bitch for no reason, actual hate for that women
- Landon and Steph are so done dirty throughout this book, I love them both Steph gets caught up and entwined when you can tell she doesn't want to be and Landon is just Landon
- Molly can F off
- American college is shown as place where girls are just sluts and guys are just there to f you over
- However, more important parts don’t even make logistical sense. Did anyone read it the whole way through and figured this makes sense?

Yet I will end up reading all the books because... well... Hessa

2,5 stars!

The main reason why I read this was because of the hype for the movie and my crush on Hero Fiennes-Tiffin. While there are many problems with this book (most of which I will not even go into), my biggest issue was actually that I felt it was way too long. There were so many scenes that were absolutely pointless and could and should have been left out. I get that this was published on Wattpad before anything else, but when they decided to publish this, I would think that an editor would actually go over this. But honestly, it does not seem that way.

Worst thing I have ever read it’s a fanfic about a toxic British dude who is mentally abusive and truly toxic. Tessa is naive and cruel, almost equally as toxic. Both had nothing special about them and were just two white kids who were attractive and thought they were the centre of the universe when I fact the were the scum of the earth

In the first half of the Book, I asked myself : Why did I just spend Money for this! And Tessa was so annoying!
The second half was better, but wayy too Long in my opinion and Tessas behaviour didn‘t change (And Hardin‘s)! We have the same situation again and again and Tessa/ Hardin did the Same mistakes etc..
And I feel like half the Time Hardin and Tessa spend together, they just had „Fun“ if you know what I mean...

I mean, if you read this you can clearly See, where it comes from, But all in all, even though I was totally aggressive and irritated about the whole book, I had the Need to finish it.

Alright. Here’s the deal. I read this book because I was curious and, oof, it’s not good.

Tessa and Hardin pissed me off so much. The back and forth happening practically every other chapter was infuriating. I am a sucker for romance and hate-to-love stories, but when they change their minds 7,000 times in one book? No thanks.

I give it 1.5 out of 5 stars because I was able to finish it and somehow got sucked into reading the second book? Needless to say, I did not like this book and am ashamed I moved on in the series...

This book was such an easy read. I didn’t know that After was a book until I heard some girls talking about it when I randomly decided to go see the movie (which does NO justice to the book, might I add).
I read all 5 books super quick and I’m on my second go round now.
Hardin is a MAJOR asshole, but the more I read the more I hoped he and Tessa would be together. She puts up with WAY too much from him but it’s a story, after all. By the time I was on the 4th book, I understood so much more about Hardin and I actually felt bad for him and coming from a troubled past myself, could understand him and why he was the way that was.
The book is definitely X-rated, just in case you’re wondering. So reader beware. ☺️
I would recommend this book to anyone who like 50 Shades, for sure.

Allow me to also add, IDGAF about Harry Styles or One Direction or that this is fan fiction. The way I imaged the characters looking, it didn’t look like One Direction members (I had to google them just to check).

Verbal abuse and possessiveness are not sexy.
I liked it when I was 14 though, because I didn’t know better.
