This comic adventure has two main plots, which combine. The Enterprise is attacked by an unknown source from Pollux II which Kirk and Scotty head down to investigate. The attack sets off the second plot which is to release a bunch of stored Vulcan emotions when the bottles they were being carted in are damaged.

This has some very silly, funny moments in it. Yeoman Trask gives Captain Kirk a finely polished salute when he casually signs an acquisitions request for her. Later we see Kirk beating the daylights out of Bones.

There are some awkward moments too, Bones yells after a panicked and fleeing Spock calling him a "yellow coward" and a "wretched pointy-eared dog".

We meet an alien called Malok, who looks a lot like a Professor Farnsworth (Futurama) with big compound eyes instead of coke bottle glasses.

The art is fair for its age and quite a lot of fun if you like classic scifi. There's one full page panel of Spock emerging from his emotional turmoil which is absolutely stunning.

While the idea of bottling emotions might be a bit of a stretch, the way the crew is affected when they are released is very typical of an early Trek episode.
