Contracted for love not death

Gabe accepts a contract to kill Bella (Izzy if you read the previous book) and instead, falls in love with her. Blackwell suspects something isn’t going according to his plan and hires Jericho to kill them both.

Mia and Thomas come back for a little of this book. In truth, I liked Mia more than Izzy. Izzy was a good character, just not as funny or geeky as Mia.

Anyhow, the adventure and sex are both good. Like Mia’s book, there are quite a few sex scenes. So, if that’s not your thing, you might want a different series.

This is a decent series. It’s entertaining, but not a “cant put it down” type of book. Give it a try. It’s worth reading. Happy reading y’all!

I'm fairly new to Lauren's books, this being the second of her's that I have read. I must say that I really enjoyed this one, it definitely hooked me from the first page. I loved the storyline and the connection between Gabriel and Bell, they were both lost in their own ways but found themselves in each other.
I loved that the book had plenty of suspense, romance, mystery, angst and sexy scenes making this on your seat page turner into a must read for all. Looking forward to book 3.

It was an OK experience. I think Miss Landish goes OTT with the romance. I want to see more development from Gabriel. He had such tragic past and I want that to be developed more into his character building.

While Bella is typical damsel in distress. I did not read this book in order. But I think it is better if the book was read in order to understand. There is a red line connecting the whole series together.

I miss the comedy in the banter. Usually Miss Landish is good incorperating some comedy in the banter.

Overall, OK read.

I really enjoyed this twisted fairy tale about Izzy and Gabe! Would be assassins falling for their prey is a weakness for me, I love the power dynamics shifting, and there's always more danger and suspense in these types of stories. With all that going on you've got the growing feelings between the two and the passion builds, its super hot to watch (read) it all unfold. I'm also really invested now in the background story in this book and also the first one in the series, involving Blackwell. I really hope we get to see him get whats coming to him in future stories.

Is it insane that I find a violent contract killer/hitman to be so hot? Because if so, guilty as charged! I was drawn in by the premise that was set up at the end of the last book. Not everyday do I read a romance where their meet cute is “he was hired by a sociopath to kill me.” And I was a bit surprised by just how much I did love the story, considering. It was a bit more violent then I’m used to, but was sweet enough not to matter.

I thought that this book was better than okay but not quite good. I liked the relationship with Bella and Gabe and it's development. I really felt for Izzy having to work and go to school all the time and I was glad that Russel got his due justice as well as Jericho. I really hope something happens to Blackwell soon.

These are fun! The dialogue is a sticking point for me sometimes in both books, but I can't help but love these dudes.
