Always chase the moon

The Seven Year Slip was a cute time travel rom com with themes of grief and finding your passion.

The romance was sweet if a little insta-lovey. I like the nicknames. The side characters were charming. The pacing was good.

I enjoyed it but not as much as I thought I would.

This book made me realize why I read mostly YA… from the very beginning with the characters starting off at this high end restaurant talking about the wine. Every dinner scene after that they’re drinking wine or beer with their meal. I’m just like so tired of alcohol/wine culture being so normalized. Maybe I also just don’t relate to Clementine because she’s privileged, gets to travel wherever and go to these fancy fine dining places.

I’m sorry but who says someone’s name or nickname multiple times in one conversation? Maybe I’m the weird one but that seems so unrealistic and too intimate? 😭😂
