"Fuck me, I'm in fairyland.”

It's fae season.
Superb narration.
Chaotic but fun.

For some reason my library doesn't have the next book on audio so I hope I can read that fast enough to get to 7 and 8 which I do have checked out on audio, and then I'll have to track down the novellas.

Another top notch installment. Several laugh out loud moments. I really enjoyed the progression of his relationships. The new information about Molly was really cool and I enjoyed finding out a bit more about Ettersberg. It was well timed, well written and well needed! :)

My only complaint is that I've been panting for this book for months now and I sat down and gobbled it up in an evening. I want the next installment NOW. Strike that... I want it yesterday...

It's a good thing I'm not queen of the universe because I would be sorely tempted to chain Mr. Aaronovitch to his word processor in hopes of increasing output :P

I just love these books! The characters are rich, the stories well developed, the magical and mundane weaves together perfectly....Peter is clever and witty and coming into his own as a constable and as a wizard. I enjoy the clever little references to other books/ pop culture -- especially when JK Rowling or Harry Potter gets brought up. I also find it refreshing - and challenging in a great way - that the books aren't "translated" or dumbed down in any way, leaving all the British terms and references. It makes them feel authentic and makes the world building even richer. SO GOOD!!

I am mildly disappointed with the end of this book in that I STILL HAVE SO MANY MORE QUESTIONS, but I guess that's what the next book is for? Maybe? AND NOW I HAVE TO BLOODY WAIT UNTIL NEXT SUMMER? *throws book across the room* HOW CAN I WAIT THAT LONG?

I think this might be the best of the series. Lots of fun, Peter finds out some interesting snippets of wizarding history, and Beverly Brook gets to be a badass. Also there seemed to be less of the "did I miss a bit?" quality that I find in these books. I listened to this on audible and the narrator is superb - really added to the book for me!
