Cameryn Moore writes smut on commission, just like Anaïs Nin did, back in the day. With her "Sidewalk Smut" set-up, all you have to do is hand over $5 and you'll get a quickie written on her Royal typewriter in just 20 minutes. It's smut while you wait.

That's the simple premise behind Moore's first book, Bang It Out: Sidewalk Smut For Lovers, Lushes and Other Passersby. The slim volume collects her "top 20" pieces written during her 2011 tour of Canada and the U.S., including work banged out on the sidewalks of Austin, Calgary, Chicago, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Montreal, New Orleans, Seattle, Victoria and Winnipeg.

My favorite stories are from Austin and Chicago, featuring a flashing neon sign and the L train, respectively. You'll have to snag a copy for yourself to find out what happens, but suffice to say: it's hot.

Moore commands the English language like it's her bitch, and slaps words across the page with the style and grace of an experienced dominatrix. Whether you're gay, straight, bi or just curious, you'll find her work fresh and fun. At the end of this quickie, you'll be panting for more.

(P.S. I can't believe I didn't already have a GoodReads shelf for "smut" before I got this book, given my former position as the editor of a respected smut zine. Thank you, Cameryn, for giving me the excuse to add it.)
