This is mostly cute and funny, although at times it veers into too cute in a way that I found grating. I liked how my boy Mr. Bingley got some great moments and I was strangely the most invested in the romance for Miss Bingley. Mean girls deserve love too sometimes.

I wasn't sure what to think at first, but I definitely enjoyed this obviously fangirly continuation of P&P, which is one of my favorite books ever. The plot was engaging, especially for the not-always-exciting time period, even the new characters were loveable (and hateable), and the dialogue (esp. between Darcy & Lizzy

Yeah, sure, it's historically inaccurate. And it's really a sequel to the A&E movie. And it's silly. But you know what? I had a grand time reading it.

I would never read this if it wasn't a kindle freebie. It is a ridiculous "sequel" to Pride and Prejudice. I was actually embarassed for the author as I was reading it, but yet I continued until it was done.

I enjoyed spending more time with these characters again. Fairly believable, though there are scenes that Austen would never write (sexual) but yet not the most sexually explicit/"romantic" versions I have read. Enjoyable light read.

I must say that I found the book hilarious at times, which I did not expect. The book was longer than it should have been, but most of it was fun. The author has a great sense of humour and she has managed to catch some of the essence of the original characters, especially Mr. Bennet and Bingeley.

I was weary of Austen themed chick-lit about a single thirty-something trying to find her own Mr. Darcy. This was refreshing. Pride & Prejudice it is not, but it is a fun sequel which tries to stay true to Austen's characters. There is no real conflict in the first half of the story, but there is plenty of action in the second.

A Tale of Two Gentlemen's Marriages to Two Most Devoted Sisters

Three days before their double wedding, Charles Bingley is desperate to have a word with his dear friend Fitzwilliam Darcy, seeking advice of a most delicate nature. Bingley is shocked when Darcy gives him a copy of The Kama Sutra - but it does tell him everything he needs to know.

Eventually, of course, Jane finds this remarkable volume and in utmost secrecy shows it to her dear sister Elizabeth, who goes searching for a copy in the Pemberley library...

By turns hilarious and sweet, The Darcys & the Bingleys follows the two couples and the cast of characters surrounding them. Miss Caroline Bingley, it turns out, has such good reasons for being the way she is that the reader can't help but hold her in charity. Delightfully, she makes a most eligible match, and in spite of Darcy's abhorrence of being asked for advice, he and Bingley have a most enduring and adventure-prone friendship.

I'd heard mixed reviews on this book, so was hesitant to buy the volume outright. However, as luck would have it, I came across a copy at my local library and decided to take the plunge and read it.

I'm happy that I did!

Though not something I would buy to keep, this book was something that I enjoyed. It had me laughing at many a time throughout because of things that were said (or done) by the characters.

However, despite this, I found that the characters did not stay true to their original counterparts and some of them did things that I would not expect them to at all! Yes, some of the things that happened to the characters were funny - but it just made parts of the book very unrealistic.

Despite these outright flaws in character, I still found this book quite enjoyable. I have now ordered the sequels from the library, but mostly only to find out where the lifes of our beloved characters lead to.

Asta e primul fanfiction in care Caroline e buna si umana! Am fost placut surprinsa si mi-a placut foarte mult.
