I have slowly been making my way through The Shadowhunters' books for about a year now. After reading and loving The Infernal Devices series, I was apprehensive to pick up The Dark Artifices. Now that I have read two out of the three in The Dark Artifices series, I can guess that unless "Queen of Air and Darkness" does something super amazing, The Dark Artifices is my least favorite part of this series.
This book felt three hundred pages too long with too many perspectives and far too much information for the reader to sift through. I struggled to get into this book for weeks, and when I finally got a little momentum, the story was almost over. I do enjoy how complex Cassandra Clare makes her world and how much detail she pours into her writing, but this was just too much for me.
I do plan to continue my Shadowhunters journey, but I am more apprehensive to pick up an even longer Dark Artifices book.

I don't even have words. This book was a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions. And for anyone wondering, I was not okay and I definitely threw my book across my couch at the end 😅
I am very glad I have the next book and can jump in right away. No idea how everyone waited when they were being released...
