This was a sweet story about friendship, family and hope.
I love the instant friendship between Clementine & Maggie. I am all for strong female friendships. I love that they bonded and created a bookclub in honor of Maggie’s grandmother.
Archer is such a broken soul, he’s been through so much in his past. The tentative friendship and work relationship with Maggie slowly builds to more.
This was a super sweet and swoony closed door romance.

Wonderfully written story. Humor and romance. Love and earth-shattering loss. Everything I love in a book

This book had so much potential but fell flat. There were lots of typographical errors and the poor audiobook reader had to read through them all “dad was able to watch dad after work” what!? lol. There were too many plot lines that didn’t tie off and went in different directions without being fleshed out. Oh well, on to the next!

It took me forever to finish this book. For-EVA!! Not because it was bad, but it was always just so hot at the beach that it was difficult to focus. Me deciding this HAD to be read at the beach was probably not one of my best choices in life.
This was a sweet story of finding yourself. Both Maggie and Clementine spent their lives people pleasing. For them to find each other and find the strength to be what they needed to themselves and each other was girl power to the max. There is a good chance someone got teary eyed at the end and had some little boy at beach asking “why are you sad?” Y’all, I am a mess.
Again, such a sweet story that had just a touch of angst and sadness. What was great was how the two ladies were determined to start putting themselves first again. Sometimes we loose ourselves to parents expectations, our parents careers, or making sure our children always feel loved and wanted. Maggie and Clem saw strong women vibes in the other that made them both want to be better.
