The plot was much better in this novella than the other two, but honestly the storyline overall was on the boring side.

The pacing of these books is so bizarre. As in, it’s a mystery but it’s very nearly a slice of life book. There’s large chunks of book where the mystery takes a backseat to Gideon and Lee figuring out their relationship. Additionally, there’s things this series does that I don’t care for in mysteries, but because this series is really more about Lee and Gideon and their life, it kind of works for the series?

It’s a strange mystery series. But like I said, it kind of works.

Good. But very full of domestic bliss and getting along with in laws. Not bad, in fact it had a rather beautiful ending. Just I was hoping for more paranormal mystery.

This book didn't work for me as much as the previous ones, plot-wise and relationship-wise as well. Maybe I need a little pause before continuing with the series.
