A unique fairytale, with a cursed cabin in the woods, a h with a string of bad luck, a sweet cat and a handsome forest-man. Like most fairytales, it had a gruesome side that hurt my heart, but it also had a decent ending. Lots of potential, but the romance fell flat.

This was a short but enjoyable story with a pleasant setting. I listened to this as an audiobook and found it to be an easy book to listen to. The story moved along at a good pace, as expected in a short novella, but this worked well.
There were a few errors or oddities but the one that springs most to mind is where the main character is searching for something in a dark area and and thinks "what I wouldn't give for a flashlight". Erm, you mean like the one that she bought from the gas station on the way to her new house in case the electricity wasn't working, as stated in chapter two?
