I like Summer Rayne Oakes a lot, which I think may skew my rating of this book a bit. It's beautiful and helpful, but there are an awful lot of kale and egg recipes. However, I like the multiple variations of meals containing a finite number of ingredients. This feels practical to me. I'm not going to use recipes with strange, expensive, one-use ingredients. What I need more is a formula for how to cook with the basics in ways that are healthy and won't bore me to death. Oakes delivers.

Ok read if you are looking to detox sugar from your life. I thought it was just an ok book. I didn't love some of the recipes - didn't really catch my attention. But the advice isn't bad.
