I expected more from this book. The style was much more elementary than I wanted, and the very difficult concepts and themes were handled without much nuance, as though for children. Lots of unnecessary repetition and telling rather than showing. Seemed as though it had been written specifically to be adapted as a movie. I'm disappointed, but it also wasn't a bad story, to be clear. Just didn't quite live up to its promises, for me.
