This was a second chance, small town romance. While I usually hate a miscommunication trope, I actually really felt for these characters. The family dynamics made me really connect with them and I was rooting for them the entire time. I love a good football romance with a head over heels MMC.

Such a powerful love story. Miguel and Rebecca wow that connection, that bond between these two was so incredible.

Miguel leave Bluebonnet Creek four years ago tu pursue his dream but he’s back for his best friend’s wedding. That means he will see Rebecca again… they broke up years ago but some wounds hasn’t been close… and some secrets were kept and it will hurt.

Anna B Doe continue amazed me with her powerful writing cause she bring wonderful characters with so much love and emotions at the same time. So it’s no surprise that Miguel and Rebecca were incredible. They’re strong, funny, but also vulnerable and that made this book so great.
I felt in love for them and their story. I felt their pain and my heart it. But I also felt their strong attraction toward one another and it melt my heart. They have so much history between them and they have to get through it but it’s a long way.
I loved Miguel because he’s determined and how he want to be a pride for what his done for his career. And I loved Rebecca cause she strong and wants to do everything by herself, she’s so stubborn and she’s willing to do everything for the others even.
I adored this book for the love, the friendship with their best friend's wedding and I enjoyed watching others characters from her other series.
This book was an easy and powerful read, I loved it and I would definitely recommend it.

If you want to know they story go ahead with thinking twice ☺️, get the book.

Tbh, I'm more interested in some of the side characters than I am the main couple 🤷‍♀️

What a way for [a:Anna B. Doe|16835123|Anna B. Doe|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1589840091p2/16835123.jpg] to start this new series after how epic and amazing Blairwood University was, but Bluebonnet Creek came very strong with the love story of Miguel & Rebecca, even though these two were much more complex than I expected, they broke my heart in their own way and also made me love them very much, also, Anna gave me the best supporting characters, again.

I liked Rebecca since I read her for the first time, I loved her spontaneous and outgoing personality and that's why it broke my heart to read Becky carrying all the problems of the world on her shoulders, a girl who constantly fights to keep herself and her family afloat, and who despite the difficulties has managed to achieve her dreams, or at least part of them, but at the same time, I really liked to see the old Becky, especially when it comes to facing Miguel. I LOVED learning more about her, her family and how important they are in her life, I loved having moments of her friendship with Emmett & Kate and above all, I enjoyed reading her finding her happy ending.

Miguel is a character as complex as Becky: a boy who fulfilled his dream of reaching the NFL and although he is happy and loves his job madly, he does not have the love of his life by his side, has a strained relationship with his father and has to return to his hometown for his best friend's wedding. Miguel made me cry quite a bit reading all the things and feelings he experienced throughout this book, I think he made some bad decisions and there were situations he could have dealt with differently, but at the end of the day he did the best he could with the resources he had and one of the things I liked most about him was reading him always expressing his feelings and giving the best speech at Emmet & Kate's wedding.

Becky & Miguel travel a long and complicated path: they have years of friendship behind them, a relationship of unconditional love and support that didn't end in the best way, hidden secrets, misunderstandings and a connection that not even time could break, and if that were not enough, both are willing to protect their hearts from more pain, BUT it's also impossible for them to deny the attraction they still feel for each other, to support each other when they need it most and realizing that the person they fell in love with is still there after several years apart.

Rebecca is the enemy of this book. If only she wasn't so whiny and could be a little open to Communication, this book would have been so much better. The second half was so much better than the first half. Looking forward to the other stories that are being set up actually. The side characters were also lovely and real and that kept me invested.
