A romance pet peeve of mine is when the plot goes out the window once people start having sex. Once it happens the first time, the rest of the story is just that with some plot sprinkled in.

I don’t know how Alexandria House makes me lover her books so much that I overlook the insta-love (one of my least favourite things). But she does it almost every time 

I love Nuri and Maleek so much. Their bond, though formed quickly, was evident. I also really like that Maleek’s relationship with his ex fiancée wasn’t dragged out and that there wasn’t any cheating. 

I highly recommend checking this out on audio! It is phenomenal. One of my top reads of 2023
