I only got a couple of chapters in before the excuses for the slut shaming and virgin shaming were undermined by the poor quality of the text.
Life is too short

I have never hated a mmc more than this book. I could possibly look over his “playboy” attitude if he wasn’t so goddamn insufferable and could only joke like a teenage boy despite being a grown adult. Jokes like constantly calling the fmc a virgin or stealing her clothes while she’s in the shower. And the whole plot line involving his job was hard to read because he dug his own grave and for some reason decided he wanted to carve his gravestone too. I hope he loses his career and is never hirable again!! He would deserve that!!

Honestly all the characters were awful. Her brother is plain awful, the fact he continues to make jokes about her even into adulthood honestly almost made me cry for the fmc. On the fmc, she’s just annoying but in a tolerable way. Her best friend was annoying in a intolerable way.

I gave two stars because the plot twist at the end actually made me look up the second book to continue reading. That only lasted until I found out it’s not on KU, and I cannot imagine a group of characters I would want to read more about less.

Great banter. I really liked this book and the writing style! I found Travis very annoying in the first few chapters; they really built up the fact that he was a jerk and manwhore. So I was impressed that I was rooting for him a few chapters later! I started to really like seeing him and Viola interact with each other! They're both such passionate and incredibly stubborn people. I adore a their continuous banter. They're perfect for each other and I can't wait to continue their story in book 2!

i tried to like this book, i really did. but throughout all of it, the female mc keeps slutshaming every single woman the male mc sleeps with. and the first time they sleep together he just keeps referring to her as “his whore”?? like what the fucking SHIT. absolutely would not recommend.

I literally forgot where I got this book from, thanks to my awesome organization skills at least I now know why it was in my library!

This book was somewhat short and not so sweet. Travis is a definitely full of himself and generally doesn't seem to know how to treat women? (Though the majority were just plot devices). Mia's a bitch, love Court, Drew, and Viola (ish). Can relate to the tatted nerd who is a try hard in school. Harry Potter as her personality though? Gotta give me her hogwarts house before I trust.
