This was written in such a unique way I loved it. This book will not be for everyone, honestly I have a feeling most people won’t enjoy it as much as me but I loved it!! I was so hooked from the beginning of this story strictly because of how this was written, I found it so fascinating (def recommend the audiobook). The main character talks as though you the reader are another character in this story and because of the plot of this, I thought it worked so well.

A bit confusing but it’s good. I like the way the story rolls out starting mundane and turning unsettling towards the end.

A fitting title, I felt like I'd been in a fever dream after listening to the audiobook. If that was the authors intention, it worked.
We're placed in the head of Amanda, who appears to be in the process of dieing. She's speaking to a boy, David, about the events leading up to her being in the hospital. We jump through multiple timelines: the current with David, the past with a neighbor Carla, and another with her daughter Nina.
This might have worked better to read this book, but I kept finding myself confused listening to the audio, trying to figure out where I was and who I was talking to. Again, it felt like a fever dream.
Definite spooky, mysterious vibes. Soul transmutation, poisoning from big agriculture, as well as the parental fear of losing a child.
