This is probably my absolute fav TJR book I’ve read!! I have no words for how much I love these characters. The riva siblings and June riva hold such a special place in my heart and forever will. The riva siblings feel so real to me. TJR did an epic job at showing the importance and love of a family and sibling relationships while also showing the very real hardships that many families go through

I went absolutely nuts for this book, I could not put it down! Not only was the drama and gossip really intriguing, but the dialogue and characterization gave me everything I could ever need! I should be mad at TJR for triggering Daddy issues in me, but I can’t because I have never seen a father-child relationship I have felt this moved by before. Nina is my hero, and all of the kids were so I well developed and fun to read. I definitely loved Evelyn Hugo, but I have to say that this book connected with me a lot more. Even though I’ve never been the daughter of a famous celebrity, I found myself relating to these characters more than I knew I could relate to fictional characters. Though TJR delivers super well on her famous people plot, the family conflict themes in this book were really what hit it out of the park for me. I did this as a buddy read, and I think it’s a perfect pick for it! Highly highly highly recommend!

Overall I thought the story itself was decent. I really enjoyed following the characters through the years and reading ALL the drama. And woo..there's a lot of it!

The part I didn't care for were the details about the party guests. I felt a tad overwhelmed with going over the background of a ton of other characters that didn't really have much contribution to the main family's lives--so why waste the energy of going over all that? I would have given this a 5 star if it didn't have so much extra fluff that didn't really add to the story for me.
