I will do my absolute best to keep this one short and sweet. This was a flashback to the moments during the conflict on Anderson Station and how Colonel Fred Johnson has been coping since then. It also gave us a good idea of how the things we saw during Leviathan Wakes came to pass. I will agree with others in that I felt this was not long enough. Not because I think there was something missing in the story telling. But because I just prefer longer fiction. I think it hits all the beats I expected and would have wanted. But when you find something so good you just want more and more of it. However, I do think that the story the authors were trying to tell only really required the 35 pages. It’s a good short story that adds to the experience of The Expanse. And I can’t wait to continue on with this massive series.
