This installment in Christopher Moore's vampire series picks up shortly after the last one ended, but was written much later. As such, it has numerous continuity errors like suddenly everyone has cell phones, in spite of it being the early nineties the day before. And several others.
Aside from that, it's a hilarious romp of all sorts of shenanigans with Abby Normal the perky goth devotee, The Animals crew of the Safeway nightshift, a call girl named Blue, and a battle over money and who wants to be a vampire anyway?
I laughed so hard. If you don't mind crudity in your humor and frequent sexual references, you will probably enjoy this and the rest of Christopher Moore 's work.

This is the perfect lighthearted summer read for someone that's interested in a rom-com style mystery. I believe this book is the second in the series but I picked it up at a used bookstore and read it on its own, though some parts were a little bit confusing you pick up on it really quick. Overall this book is a super crazy and enjoyable story.
Graphic: Addiction, Animal cruelty, Death, Torture, Violence, Blood, Fire/Fire injury, and Injury/Injury detail
