Gemma can see ghosts, ever since she turned 18. She likes helping them finish their unfinished business.

One day she impulsively kisses one and he becomes visible to everyone. To explain his presence, they pretend to date. He needs to help her, in order to have a second chance at life, and in end, he is left with an impossible choice.

I was very excited to read the story, but it fell flat for me. Maybe because the pace is very slow or because I didn't like Gemma all that much.

got it on Netgalley, all thoughts are my own

Oddly cute!!! I liked this book way better than ,the sister,  Gaia’s book. I’m sad we didn’t get to see Levi with his sister at the end but it was really good. Also, it doesn’t make sense for him to loose his memories of what he went through with Gemma if he chose to stay with his family. But he has to keep his memories of his family if he stays with Gemma. Idk it seems unfair to me.

No, because I need to read more books by Therese Beharrie! How does she pull off writing books which have such such amazing character arc, plot development, with a pinch of steaminess? I can't even.

I was provided with an e-arc of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I can't remember where I saw this book recommended. I don't normally read smutty books about ghosts - turns out it's not that smutty, closed door and hot kisses.

The underlying story was sweet, a story of self discovery and self worth.

The end is intriguing, I don't know if it's setting up for book 2 or just a mystery.
