I have to say I am struggling a bit with this series, and this book most of all. I finished it and have started the next, more because I have it at hand, than because I am dying to read it. It's a rattling good story but somehow lacks the wonder that I read SF for.

Probably my least favorite book so far in the Expanse series. It didn't capture my attention as much as the prior books, but it's still good.

I am more into the focus on aliens and space and cool technology and extraterrestrial mystery than I am into the politics of the belt and Free Navy zealots. However, it was interesting to learn about Amos and Naomi's pasts. But I like the crew of the Roci being together.riverlethe's review against another edition
