I found my perfect match! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved every Bergman story so far, and I’ve identified with people and situations in each one, but I haven’t found the character that is unequivocally me.

Spoiler alert: it’s Oliver. I am Ollie with an A, right down to the Best of Broadway playlists, flying anxiety (and general as well), propensity to wear bright colors, self prescribed pressure to be “perfect” despite a supportive family, and relentless positivity because someone should be that for the world and it might as well be me. Everything from his need to connect and make others feels seen to the damaging inner dialogue was so spot on; I’ve truly never felt more seen in a book.

I’m not sure how Chloe Liese does it, but she really has dedicated her writing to making sure everyone gets a happy ending, and she does is SO WELL. I continue to be obsessed and I can’t wait for the new release coming up!

Oi! This was delightful! Love these Bergmans and Oliver’s story was really good. Loved the nods to Ted Lasso, but make it queer.

“I promise it all—my body, my soul, my life, for you, everything for you, to care for you and love you, if you’ll let me. You’re the fucking sunrise of my heart, love.”

I am the furthest thing from a Sporty Gal™️ but gosh I love a good sports romance, and Chloe Liese always delivers. This delightful romance novel had strong Ted Lasso vibes, as the author admits in the acknowledgements, and I absolutely ate it up -  I find it impossible to resist the sunshine vs grump trope, especially when it’s done so well! Ollie and Gavin were so lovely and full of angst (they just hate each other so much, definitely that, definitely not anything else) and they worked through so many issues together, on and off the field, and their happy ending warmed my heart.

*love* the Bergman Fam. At this point I'm too emotionally attached and invested in these characters for me not to like any of the books in this series
