When I started Bolt, I couldn't put it down! This is my first superhero and Angel Payne book and i have to say I'm in LOVE! This story takes you on this amazing adventure & love story between Emma & Reese. By the end of the book your in love with the characters and story line. Your also left wondering what will happen in the next installment of Bolt and I cannot wait for it to come out!!

Oh my word! This series is/will be AH MAZING!!! I don't think you guys even realize how funny and heart warming this book was. Emma was such a sweet heart. Who works for hotel as their guest relations specialists who is constantly striving for more. that even I was like I want to do more.. and the fact that she turned play boy turned science experiment Reece Richards into a "real boy" lol. Reece starts the series as a guy who has a lot of money and way to much time on his hands where he is constantly chasing the next big high where he runs into the evil hitch Angelique La Salle and her big bad guys of the consortium of assholes who turn Reece into a walking lightening rod. Effectively ending his days of a man whore.
I can not wait to see where Angel Payne takes us next in this amazing series!

when Bolt was Misadventures of a Superhero the book blew me away. It was the first one (book) I had actually read by Angel Payne. When I read the she was expanding of the book to make its own series esq serial I was thrilled because I just enjoyed Superhero so much. Now ive read Bolt Vol 1 with its new scenes and longer story line and I'm just mind boggled. Bolt has become one of my all time favorite book boyfriends AGAIN and the book one of my all time favorites AGAIN. I cant wait to see what will happen between Reece aka our electrifying BOLT and Emmalina the woman who can handle him lol.

I DNFed this at around 20%
I just couldn't do it. I'm fine with sex in a book, sometimes it even adds to the story itself and gives us another dimension of the characters. But this one, I just struggled so bad with it. The opening was intriguing, a man kidnapped by a goddess of a woman and subsequently ends up becoming a superhero because of something she did to him. That is interesting. I just felt that it was all ruined by the premature sex scene. Sure, add it in later on, when we've connected with the characters and it can add something to their budding relationship. Not when we've literally just met them.
This one, unfortunately wasn't for me, but give it a try, you may find it enjoyable where I didn't :)

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH NET GALLEY. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

Last year, I read the author's [b:Misadventures with a Super Hero|34356928|Misadventures with a Super Hero (Misadventures, #7)|Angel Payne|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1487821906s/34356928.jpg|55434398], but I hadn't realized she'd turned it into a saga until I saw this book on NetGalley! While I absolutely detest serial novels, I took a chance on this one because of my previous read of the prequel story. Unfortunately, the first two parts (and even part of the 3rd part!) of this book seemed to be a re-hashing of that prequel story, which really pulled the book down for me.

It also seemed to focus more on the sexual aspects of the relationship than I remembered. The Consortium still isn't explained well, and there are a lot of threads left hanging that I would hope would be addressed in other books. The third story really shone for me, as I liked the lengths Reese went to in order to show Emma his love for her.

While I love superhero novels, I wasn't that impressed with this one, and doubt I would continue the series.

Absolutely loved this book! It was great! Bolt is electrifying and keeps the reader wanting more!! This is the story of Reese and Emma. Reese is known as a playboy that got stuck running his family’s hotel on the west coast because of his ways. Emma is now employed at his hotel and warned her new boss is best termed as weird. However once she meets him one evening she’d say he’s anything but weird. There is a connection that’s magnetic and can’t be denied between them and it’s electrifying.

Well written and excellently done can’t wait to read the next book in this saga! Loved this and would highly recommend this to others.
