My students LOVED this book. It has amazing imagery, and tons of figurative language.

Loved reading the slight differences between the book and the movie(s). The illustrations were also fun.

Read it to my five year old and held up surprisingly well. Definitely had to do some on the fly editing but over all was still fast paced enough for my son but interesting enough to hold his attention, and fun for me to revisit. A great read for a beginner

The ending is much better than the ending of the movie starring Johnny Depp.

I picked this book up to indulge in some childhood favorites. I will always love Roald Dahl's works! If you've somehow walked on this Earth for any amount of time without reading this book, I recommend you head to your nearest bookshop or library as soon as humanely possible. There is never a better time to pick up this book than now!

Ah, I remember getting my dad to read this book to me over and over when I was a kid. It’s always held a special place in my heart and it was really nice to actually go back and re read it as an adult.

Although, who the hell lets 5 children wander round a factory getting themselves into all sorts of trouble, and doing it as a way to teach them all a lesson?! A madman, that’s who.

I love that everyone always remembers the Chocolate Factory because it’s imaginative and batty enough to keep you on your toes as you read, and you always remember the story of the underdog who comes out on top.

And who deserves it more than Charlie Bucket?
