This book was not extremely boring, it was actually somewhat interesting. But it was pretty dry and not exactly what I wanted to be reading. I had to read this for my AP English Lang class. Informative, but not really entertaining.

This book absolutely got me through writing admission essays back in 2013. I adored it. I took every word written in it as gospel truth. And hey, I even got into most of the schools I applied to.

Super helpful! I rarely take pleasure in reading guides (and I can't say that this book was absolutely riveting), but even the explanations of the author are witty and entertaining.
