Przymus przeczytania może wielu zniechęcić do tej pozycji, a jednak miło się zaskoczyłem. Jest to wartościowa książka, którą każdy powinien znać. Cudownie ukazana polska wieś dawnych lat, ciekawa fabuła i świetnie wykreowani bohaterowie.

The story itself isn't bad, it may be even called interesting but the writing is really boring and painful. I am not sure if it is a good book for usual students. In more condeced and modernised version it could be more enjoyable. But for now it is plainly boring...
