This one follows King’s father Zeus and his romance with Lou. This is the most taboo of all the books and one I did struggle with a little. But I also really liked how the relationship between Zeus and Lou built throughout the book. Lou has known Zeus most of her life, in fact, he saved her. And this is what started their friendship. After Zeus is realised from prison he tries to distance himself from Lou, until she takes matters in her own hands.

I also want to make a quick note that I am not condoning a lot that happens throughout this book if it would happen in real life. This is a work of fiction for me. Okay, let’s go back into the review.

Things get a lot darker in a sense of the MC world in this book. Things are starting to heat up for Zeus and his Fallen Men. And I loved getting to look more into this. As I mentioned, I enjoy reading MC romance and the reader can start seeing more of it here.

Lou was such a lovely protagonist. I loved getting to know her. I loved that she was girly, but then she was this tough ass and ah yes! The reader gets to see these two sides of her. But then the reader can see the side of her that even Lou doesn’t want to expose. This book was quite heartbreaking at times and gosh did I just want to get Lou a massive hug.

As I said things are starting to heat up in this The Fallen Men book, in regards to the MC and things, are getting much more intense. I like a lot about this one

Listen… this might be my new favorite romance series. Like wow. I love this series and it’s characters so much. Im obsessed. I love a good age gap romance… but this was a lot at times… like it was definitely pushing it and I felt a little uncomfortable at times ngl. But this is a taboo romance, which I knew going into it, so I can’t fault the book for that. That being said, I still freaking loved this book. Lou and Zeus’ story was just perfect. I literally love them so much I can’t handle it, they were made for each other. I can’t wait to continue this series, I’m all in now.

I love an age gap romance but I think I met my limit with this book.

The heroine is 7 when she meets the hero, who's 26. They meet one day when he protects her after a shooting breaks out at her grandfather's church, and a bullet goes through him and hits her. For the next 9 years they exchange letters while he's in prison and out, and while she overcomes cancer. When she's 16, he says they can't write anymore because she's fallen in love with him. When she's 17, they get together.

This just didn't work for me on so many levels, because it just felt icky. It's classic grooming, and while I can suspend disbelief in romances that include a dark/psychopathic character, I got grossed out by this premise. Not only is she 17 the entire book, but she tries to seduce him "sexily" in a strip club by dancing for him. All I could picture is the blonde girl from Riverdale doing that in front of a bunch of grown men.

Besides the uncomfortable age dynamic, I just didn't like the heroine. She was so young and immature, and her entire personality was being young and immature. I didn't understand what they had in common besides an obsession with each other sexually, so ultimately I couldn't buy into the premise or the relationship.
